Glover Teixeira Tape Jan Blachowicz


UFC 267 descended today (Saturday, October 30, 2021) from Abu Dhabi to the Etihad Arena and we have the results. The world’s leading Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion has compiled a great card for struggle fans to appreciate.

He was titled by a meeting between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight title fight.

The co-star saw an interim bantamweight title fight between Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen. Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir, Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev, Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura and Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker complete the main card.

Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir

Volkan caught him with a left uppercut then missed with a flying knee before landing and exchanging knees. They separated. Ankalaev let him down with a left hand, but Volkan managed to get back on his feet. In the second round, Ankalaev continued to show off his boxing as he was faster and more precise with his strikes than Volkan, who was looking for answers. Volkan was bleeding from his left eyebrow. Volkan was doing a good job with his leg kicks, but Ankalaev fought back with his own. They exchanged until the end. The judges gave the victory to Ankalaev.

Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev

Chimaev knocked him down pretty quickly in the first round and then got the upper hand. Chimaev rained strikes after flattening it. Then locked in the rear-naked choke for the win. Li came out with his eyes open.

Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura

They came out shooting until Volkov scored a hat-trick with two minutes left in half-guard. Volkov did a good job keeping his hand on his opponent and not letting him straighten up. Volkov managed to land a few hits. In the second round, Tybura was shooting with his jabs as Volkov looked to counter the strike. Tybura hung with him against the fence and landed a few knee kicks. In the third round, they did more clinch as Tybura tried to take the fight to the ground, but Volkov did a good job staying on his feet. Volkov discharged strikes two minutes from time, which caused the crowd to explode. Volkov got the victory by decision.

Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker

Islam moved closer and scored a half-guard cutout on top. Islam locked in the limura and got the victory. Just like that.

Petr Yan vs. Cory Sandhagen

Yan was walking him around while Sandhagen was circling. Sandhagen started to let go of his hands at the end of the round. Sandhagen opted for a takedown on one leg, but Yann put an end to it. Sandhagen was working on the body in the second round and passed Yan, who was picking his shots. Yan cracked it with a big left hand. Sandhagen picked up with him and then landed a right hand. Yan shot with a rotating fist and a left hook. They had an incredible exchange with a minute and a half left in the lap. Sandhagen shot for a takedown, but got pissed off. Sandhagen knocked him out with a combo in the third round. With constant movement from Sandhagen, Yan missed some of his punches. Yan let him down about a minute before round three, then punched him in as Sandhagen scrambled. Yan had his back and scrambled even more until they got down to their feet. Sandhagen knocked him out in the fourth, then fired, but Yan rolled for a leg. They got back to their feet. Yan was ahead of the game at this point. They continued to trade in the fifth round. Yan landed a huge header. In the end, it is Yan who wins by unanimous decision.

Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira

Teixeira scored an out and came into full guard in the first round of the bout. Teixeira worked it with strikes from the first position. In the second round, Teixeira did a takedown, but it was drunk. Jan caught it with an uppercut. They leaned against the fence. Jan pulled off a good combo before Teixeira made a takedown and got it halfway through. Teixeira scored a takedown, got his full back and took him out with a choke at the back for the win!
