” I miss you all very much. I miss the whole world. I miss playing for you guys. I can’t wait to come back and show you how we trained and what we did,” said Vera.
“Our goal, our dream is to bring our championship belt back to the Philippines. That’s my number one goal now.
More than regaining her title, Vera wants to become a better ambassador for the sport and inspire more kids to get into mixed martial arts.
The heavyweight added that he never thought about his legacy in the sport but the one thing he always focuses on is how he can be a role model for the new generation of fighters who have seen him. to fight.
“I never thought of that. I had never thought of that before. I think I just let people think of me the way they think of me… the one thing that has ever made me really happy with my reach and the extent of our reach in the Philippines is when all the kids in the province know who I am,” he said.
“For me, this is a big problem. Like, they’ll be like, ‘I want to be a fighter like you. I want to fight in the ring,” that’s the biggest problem for me. So other than that, I never thought beyond that.
