Prediction of UFC champions in each division at the end of 2022
Who will be the UFC champions at the end of 2022?
Predictions, they are impossible to make correctly. Especially when it comes to the world of mixed martial arts. Think about it, in a year we saw Dustin Poirier roast Conor McGregor, twice the Diaz brothers absolutely walked around and Amanda Nunes had a life-changing upheaval. MMA is crazy to predict, especially when you don’t just look at the immediate future.
So we are not. We decided to do our best and go beyond the immediate future to try and predict the UFC champions at the end of the year. We’re talking about looking beyond the next 12 months to January 1, 2023 and trying to predict the outcome of not just one or two fights, but dozens if not hundreds of fights until we find a champion for each division. Some predictions are going to be as simple as watching the next fight on a person’s record and saying “that one!”
Others may need to win one or two fights to get a title shot and, of course, win the title. This is the type of deep commitment that a fighter is to be expected to fight for for a title. It is not something that comes lightly and it is not something that is guaranteed either. So you have to think that this person has a legitimate chance to fight for the title in a calendar year.
This is why these predictions are both sane and sane; for the majority. No large litters here. Of course, there may be one or two picks based more on fandom than fact on this list, but the list as a whole features the obvious contenders for the UFC. Just with a bit of unpredictability for color and spices.
With that, let’s take a look at who we think will be the champion in each UFC weight class by the end of 2022.
