Two former UFC champions feature on Twitter’s list of the world’s sexiest athletes

The biggest win of Holly Holm’s career came against Ronda Rousey. Now she has a second above her.

Listen to us. Holm pulled off one of the biggest upsets in MMA history when she knocked out Rousey at UFC 193 in Australia to win the women’s bantamweight title. Rousey’s MMA career never recovered. After a loss to Amanda Nunes in her comeback bout, she moved on to other projects and is now a wife, mother, and earns her salary from WWE.

Because of this, she’s always been in the spotlight — enough to have the social media world mention her regularly. Given her past status as a model in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, Rousey has some experience using her image as a “thirst trap” on social media, as kids call it these days. And Holm too.

Earlier this summer, Pour Moi, a lingerie company in the UK, got to thinking about thirst traps and wondered which celebrities were driving Twitter users’ engines the most. When they got their results, they split it to include the athletes on a separate roster – and Rousey and Holm faced off again.

Pour Moi said it analyzed 115,000 “suggestive” tweets containing the words “hot”, “horny” or “sexy” written by about 100 different celebrities. And from that data, they arrived at their Twitter sexiest list. (You can check the results on For me here, but don’t hold us responsible if you decide to shop while you’re there.)

Given that the study was based in the UK, it’s not terribly surprising that half of the top 10 athletes on the list are footballers…er, football players. But with Rousey and Holm on the list, plus a boxer and another WWE star, nearly half of the rest of the top 10 comes from one fighting game or another.

Check out the full list of top 10 athletes below. And remember this:
